Duchess Satine travels from Mandalore to Coruscant on a diplomatic mission, with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and a team of troopers to defend her. As her luxurious starship, Coronet, makes its way through hyperspace, the Jedi must stop several assassination attempts, and Anakin discovers that Obi-Wan and the Duchess have a history together.

Concept Art and Trivia

Anakin identifying Obi-Wan’s anxiety over meeting with the duchess while traveling aboard a turbolift is a mirror of a similar scene in Attack of the Clones, with the Jedi roles reversed.

This was the first episode of the Mandalorian arc produced, well before the adjacent episodes. The figure of Pre Vizsla does not use his final character design in holographic form. If his cape was removed, he would be revealed to be wearing clone armour.

Nuna has been served as an entree once before in “The Deserter.”

This episode along with Cloak of Darkness and Holocron Heist was written by noted comic-book author Paul Dini.

Villain Tal Merrik was voiced by Comedian and occasional QI panelist Greg Proops.

The Assassin Droid was based on the Imperial Probe Droid in Episode V.
